Frequently asked questions
- What is PinSprint?
- PinSprint is a free daily map quiz about India. Each day you get five clues about real places, such as a stadium, a temple, a film location or a battlefield. You tap the map where you think the place is, and the closer your pin, the more points you score.
- Is PinSprint free? Do I need to sign up?
- It is completely free and there is no sign-up. Your progress, streak and scores are saved in your own browser.
- How is the map score calculated?
- Each clue is worth up to 100 points. You get full marks within about 15 km of the right spot, and the score tapers off smoothly with distance until it reaches zero at 1,000 km. Five clues make a maximum of 500.
- How do the multiple-choice quizzes work?
- A quiz has ten questions with four options each and 15 seconds per question. Faster correct answers score more, streaks add a bonus, and you get two lifelines: 50:50 and Skip. The best possible score is 1,300. The Daily Quiz is the same ten questions for everyone and can be played on a subject of your choice.
- When does the daily round change?
- A new round starts at midnight India time. Everyone gets the same five questions on a given day, so you can compare scores with friends.
- Is PinSprint available in Hindi?
- Yes. The whole game, including every question, works in English and Hindi. Use the language switch at the top of the page.
- Can I play with friends?
